Speaker 1 (00:10.722)
Hi, this is Jackie. And this is HomeBodiesOnly, where we welcome all bodies to join us as we break down and dissect HBO Max series. And this episode, we are talking about The White Lotus, season three, episode seven, Killer Instincts. I got my summary from tunefind.com, of course. Belinda brings Zion to Chloe's expat party. Saxon confronts Tim about how strange he's been acting. Gaitok and Mook have their first date. A lot more than that happens.

This is Jason.

Speaker 2 (00:42.542)
Yeah, it really kind of succinctly goes for the, uh, you know, but kind of a lot. Yeah. Kind of, I mean, I guess those are also, they don't want to give it away. Like they don't want, you know, that's just like a teaser. By the way, we never say this, but spoilers for all these episodes. Oh yeah. Like if this happens to be the first home bodies only episode you've discovered, watch the show first before, know, before this thing or watching this show.

Definitely. I'm not usually so timely. So I'm usually not able to give spoilers

We are Johnny on the spot with this thing, Yes, we are. All right. So do we do I had a couple of alternative titles. OK. Not sure how great they are, but these were these were the spur of the moment. The first one, Fantasy Island.

Mmm!

Indecent proposals and, yup, it's still HBO.

Speaker 1 (01:41.774)
I know what part you're talking about.

yeah, there was some of that going on.

yeah, actually, yeah, now I'm remembering. Okay, loves. Got some loves. When Frank says Sritala is going to play a prostitute and a madam. And she's like, I thought this was based on, I mean, that whole exchange was fabulous. Gaitok saying he could never hurt anyone. When Victoria asks the woman why she's with the weirdo Rupert, I mean, that was, I just wrote the best ever. Like, yes, yes.

Please. Okay. Frank and Sritala watching her movie. my God. Comparing her to MC Hammer, Peter Pan, and a little bit of Pippin.

Speaker 1 (02:29.518)
That reminded me the way she acts. I feel like it was a reality show with like a real, like her responses and her pausing and her tone. she, she was so good. What else? Saxon's response to Chloe. I did love that.

Victori- to her indecent proposal, Victoria's quote, this already is all over the internet. Maybe Jesus will save her from those Buddhists.

Speaker 1 (03:05.155)
And I loved that Laurie saw the jewelry in that back room when she was escaping. That was a good part.

First all, this episode, they keep getting better, I think. Now that we're on the home stretch, so we had all the table setting, you know, and now, now we're really, you know, gearing up for this, whatever the ending is going to be. And I'm still guessing kind of thing, but, I loved a lot of the same stuff you did, Sam Rockwell all day, just amazing. Oddly enough, fun fact, Sam Rockwell played a con man in a movie called Matchstick Men with Nicolas Cage.

And it's a great film. If you haven't seen, highly recommend Bridley Scott directed it. That character's name, Frankie. I wonder if there's a crossover, you know, because it's a very, very similar kind of character. And I could definitely see that character going to Thailand, you know, to escape his crimes in America. it's a great film. Check it out. But Sam Rockwell was just

Pitch perfect as usual after the illusion is gone of his sobriety. He's just like that ship sailed And then a man Parker Posey Victoria had like the best lines Why are you with that middle-aged weirdo? And not the boat people and And yeah, and just you know praying that Jesus

Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:39.726)
I'll save her daughter from the Buddhist. Just precious. There was also like some really nice moments in this. I particularly liked, uh, and if you've ever been in an awkward social situation with somebody that you know really well, but you know, the other, you're amongst strangers, that little exchange between little silent exchange between Piper and Lachlan over the food when he's like, he's like, doesn't want to eat it. And then he starts.

I mean...

Speaker 2 (05:08.462)
uh, showling food in his mouth. Uh, I thought that was hilarious. Yes. Um, and then, uh, Saxon just saying, I'm nothing if not a success. He's, he's coming to, I think he's having a sort of, you know, uh, an epiphany or some like sort of come to Jesus moment and he realizes that he, there's nothing else to, but money to him. Like he's good looking and he comes from a rich family, but that's it. Like he, he's this deep.

And I think he's even he it's even if it's dawning on him just a little bit, you know, but then he has that stupid thing, with, Chelsea where he's like, yeah, teach me to be spiritual. And he like tries to like make a move on her and she's like, no, you can, know, and she, she Chelsea is still my favorite character, especially she got out of that situation.

point out something I don't know if I put this anywhere else when he puts his hands on her hands and she looks at him she looked at him in a different way like she did not you know I think nor previously she would have been like ill and like slapped him or like she kind of made this face where

I don't know, I almost feel like she felt something. I don't know, I don't know.

I think she might be slightly attracted to him because he's an attractive guy and if he tries to, but then I think she also is smart enough to realize that, you know, it's just not much there. So why, you know, why, why do this to myself? And she's also very worried about Rick too.

Speaker 1 (06:46.082)
Yeah, and I just thought for a moment she slipped and was kind of like, and then that's why she like jolted up. I got to call him, you know, but I feel like there was like a tinge of a feeling, whether it just be attraction or something. There really was.

the little spark was like, I better nip this in the bud. Yeah. And also, I gotta say Saxon, getting the hell out of that party situation with the, the indecent proposal kind of thing. Like, because, and all right, that's a trap, right? That, that did not sound like, cause he said in the previous episode, Greg Gary said to Chloe that he needed her help with something.

I think so.

Speaker 2 (07:30.894)
And I assume that whatever little devious plot they were trying to hatch was trying to get Saxon to stay to do something. Yes. And I don't know what, but it was not going to be good for any, like, it's not going to be good for Saxon, that's for sure. No. So I'm glad that, you know, he was like, yeah, no. Because he does seem like the kind of douche who would stay for that sort of thing. I also really liked

I was so happy.

Speaker 1 (07:56.277)
Yeah.

Belinda's response to Gary's indecent proposal to basically bribe her. Like, what do you say? So he's going to offer you a hundred grand? Like she doesn't make that kind of money. but she realizes that he probably offed his wife. And then I also, okay, the scene with Laurie and the Russian guy, he's like, I just need $10,000 to get my mother out of Russia. You know, no, like, like she's a New York lawyer, right? Like she's too smart for this.

So, the fact that she was able to bug out of there, which I mean, it probably shouldn't have gone back to that dude's, sleaze pad to begin with, but whatever, we all make bad decisions, especially when alcohol is involved. But the fact that she was like, no, I can't do that. So I also, I also like Laurie's moment where she's like, you're fake and pretend your life is perfect and you are vain and selfish.

goodbye and she just peaced out and went to the fight. But yeah, we had some interesting revelations, which it's great to see that stuff coming together. Not really sure how it's going to play out. I do have some theories that we can save for later on in the show.

Alright, I have my hates. I don't know if this is a full on hate, but I wanted to bring up Chelsea saying she wants to heal Rick. I hate that about many straight women that I know that want to fix men. And when she was saying that I was like...

Speaker 2 (09:31.192)
We also have a double dose of that in this because you kind of get the sense that's what Mook is trying to do to Gaitok Well, she looks at him like a unique fixer-upper opportunity. It's like she's buying an apartment and she's like, if we redid the bathroom and maybe hung some new curtains and made this guy a completely different person, he would be suitable for me to be with.

she's trying to

Speaker 1 (09:54.496)
She wants him to be tough and have an edge to him.

And you know, be successful and all that kind of stuff. is not content with the way he is. Yeah, just, you know, that never works, ladies. Just stop trying to fix us. It never works.

One thing when they try to dress men, I have never done that, I'll have you know. Never done that. Yeah, that was my next hate. Mook saying she thought, oh, well, she was just being, saying, oh, I thought you were more ambitious than that and wanted a better job. I'm like, oh, I wanna smack her. Piper's response to Lochy when he said he wanted to stay at the monastery too.

I mean, I was reading online that they said, of course she wants to be alone. Like she doesn't, she wants to get away from her family. I get that, but she literally had no response to him. And I was like, I don't know. That kind of annoyed me. She didn't say like, wow, okay, something's wrong. I don't know.

I think on her part, it's like, wait a minute, this is my thing. I'm trying to have my thing. It doesn't have to be your thing. Stop trying to do my thing. Find your own thing. and Lochy needs to find his own thing, you know, preferably when it's not his brother's thing.

Speaker 1 (11:11.382)
It was funny, wait, did she, there was something, did she ask him a question? I wanted him to, I think it was him to answer like, I think I need therapy. Like that's all I thought about was we were talking about therapy for him. I also hate that Laurie slept with whatever his name is. Cause I'm still confused which, which one is which. thought, is he Vlad? And the tall bald guy is Alexei. I thought he was under, I don't know.

never gonna

to be a jerk about that because I usually try to keep the name straight.

It's like Huey, Dewey, and Louie. You're never going to remember their names. Just don't even try. The Russian mafia guys is what I'm calling them. I got to say, if this were applied to real life, I really got a problem with Tim. This is like a textbook case and not the way not to handle things.

Russian Mafia guy.

Speaker 2 (12:04.648)
He like hiding it from his family, lying to his son's face, knowing that, know, his son is going to be deeply affected by everything that's going on. Wouldn't even tell him in private. And then also, you know, mixing Benzos with alcohol is bad. Do not try this at home. You'll end up like Janis Joplin. Like don't, don't do this.

And he popped two, right? And then I was like, is he popping a third? I was like, I thought he was going to overdose.

Yeah, I mean I think that's what he's trying to do and also it also speaks to just how bloody shallow they all are like they can't handle any Adversity, I don't know the whole family is just like completely screwed up the fact that you know Saxon is like hey What's going on with you and his wife's like hey? What's going on with you and neither one of them actually wants to know they just want to say Can you please be okay so I can get on with my comfortable life?

Because if you're not okay, we're not okay. And I can't have that. Terrible. Just terrible. This is a horrible family dynamic. But yeah. All right. So let's, what, what, I get a lot of, I could relate with this episode.

Here's my I can relate. I would have responded the same as Saxon to Chloe.

Speaker 1 (13:30.254)
Yeah, I mean, I've never been in that situation. So, but I would have responded the same. I was.

Fair enough. I'll file that under things that will never happen to me ever. Yeah, I also like people who can't be bought, too, like with Belinda just saying, hey, I'm going to have integrity here, and I'm not going to do that. But she also could be in a precarious position doing that.

Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:07.822)
I wanted to say, will, I was a little, I think I was building this dinner up so much. I didn't think, I really didn't think Grey Gary was gonna kill someone at this dinner, which some people were saying. I thought that would be ridiculous. But I was a little let down. I thought there was gonna be a little more something with Chloe. I mean, she did propose that, but I don't know. I was a little like, what?

They keep pulling the rug out from under us. In this episode alone, we had the dinner party, which could have gone awry. And then we had Rick's meeting with Scott Glenn, who I don't know the name of that character, but I'm just going to call him Scott Glenn. Jim. That seemed anticlimactic to me too. Yes. Yes. I mean, he pulled the gun, but nothing happened. He just kind of like, pushed him over or whatever.

Uh, which probably will kill him. mean, the guy just had a stroke, but he was, you he was not looking great, but that whole scene was like, I was like, Oh God, what's, you were like, what's all this buildup and then like nothing.

Yes, that was a little bit of a letdown too.

But I think that I'm hoping that that's the show's way of sort of designing things of like, we're not going to do anything right until the end. We're going to save all the twists and all of the, you know, all the gunshots are going to come at the end of this story. So I don't know. It's really intriguing as to what's going to happen. We'll talk more about that later. But do you want to do fashion? Fashion.

Speaker 1 (15:50.474)
I wanted to start with, and I have to get a picture for you. Frank's, I swear wearing a Lowe's hat. Lowe's, like Home Depot, Lowe's, L-O-W-E, apostrophe S. I was like, squinting, staring, I'm like, did he wear a Lowe's hat? So I don't know, but that was funny. And I'm sure there's a reason why if he is wearing a Lowe's hat. I loved Victoria's necklace that she was wearing, which,

I found the designer's name is David Webb. I couldn't even find, I don't even think I could find a price on it. Like, so crazy. So it was beautiful. It was a chunky necklace. I loved Belinda's caftan. I tried, man, I tried so hard to find a lookalike for that. And the closest thing I got, it was pink and green. And the closest thing I got was a white and green one.

Hers, I believe, was of course super, super expensive, but was so, it was just, it was beautiful. Are you liking the caftans on women, or what is your feeling as a man, straight man, about caftans on women? Not into it.

10.

face.

Speaker 2 (17:08.781)
I don't know. mean, why not? But it's also a climate thing, I think. Because all of their clothes are like, there's, because main challenge I see in the show, how do you make everybody look good in the hottest, sweatiest weather ever? Like, if I was there a day, I would look like I just wore all my clothes in the sauna.

I'm just like walked out, just sweating like a, you know, just terrible. I look like, you know, I went through a car wash. Yeah. That's, the fact that everybody looks good is a credit to the hair, makeup and wardrobe team. Good on you, but no real people look like that in that kind of manner.

Right. think caftans, when I remember like the first seeing them, I'm like, my God, they're like moomoos, right? That look. And my old Italian grandmother would wear like moomoos. She was literally a meatball. mean, and she would wear them all day, every day. my God. I think that that...

God. No, I just got it. I just got it. The caftans, when you said Mumu, flashes on my ex mother-in-law. It's, you know, that. But I mean, not, you know, they weren't really that stylish, but these are, mean, these are very stylish, but they're the, I think the thing with the caftan is it just, it's so shapeless.

Wow.

Speaker 1 (18:43.618)
internet style.

Speaker 1 (18:50.912)
It is shapeless, yeah. They're so comfortable though. You feel so good.

which I, you

Speaker 2 (18:56.384)
If you're a woman of a certain age, you know, and you, know, if you don't, you know.

You want to just wear a big thing? Sure. Yeah. They look ritzy, I don't know.

with lots of embellishment on.

Speaker 1 (19:13.902)
Okay, I was just curious. Okay, I loved all three of the friends, soon to be ex friends maybe, dresses. And let's see, so Kate's dress at dinner, it's a halter. She wears those a lot, a halter neck. I guess it goes around her neck. That is by C, it's called See-S-E-E by Chloe.

I did find it for $215 on the Outnet. I won't be buying it, but FYI. Jaclyn's dress is by, I'm not sure if I'm saying it right, Doan or Doen, D-O-E-N. It's no longer available. And it's funny when I did like a Google lens search on it, what came up were like these wedding guest dresses.

Cause I think it's made from like neoprene and that actually reminds me of like bridesmaid, like old school bridesmaid dresses. I don't know. I loved her dress. was a light blue, a nice blue and it was, had beading on it. And then I loved also Laurie's dress, which was also like a halter top tied around the neck, drapey. It was like a wine burgundy color. I could not find that. I even commented on, there's a Instagram account called white, the white lotus.

closet and I believe Alex Bovaird follows them but they don't they're not like they're not this huge Instagram account they have they're affiliated with an app called which I of course got I mean it was free montage let me just double check it's called montage period and it's it's an app to find clothes from different shows and you can even upload your own

Like I uploaded, I did upload a picture of Kate's dress, because I didn't see it on there and put like the link to the website. I don't know if it went up or not. So I commented on, they posted a picture of Jaclyn's dress and I commented and said, hey, any idea where Laurie's dress is from? And they were like, search, check the app. And I was like, I did. It's not there. So I found a similar one by Zara, which would probably, I'm sure is more affordable. But I think it was a heavier material.

Speaker 1 (21:30.574)
I know I love that deep, rich, burgundy color. And also you don't think of that like on vacation in a hot place. You think of like lighter colors and stuff. So I really thought that was very beautiful. And then actually with Victoria's outfit, I didn't realize, you couldn't really see it. So I saw it better on a website. It was actually a jumpsuit. It was like a deep forest green and it has like a peplum

peplum waist and it's a tank top and pants and it has some floral design on it. It's actually very pretty and I was like, wow, I didn't know it was that pretty because you couldn't really see it in the show. That, no, I'm not sure how much that is. no, that was one of, there's like one left on eBay, like a size six or something. That's, I forgot, that's where I found it. Yeah, so interesting. Chelsea's dress was cool. It was,

I don't know if you noticed, I didn't notice at first, she was basically just a sheer like shift dress, completely sheer. And she had on like a sparkly bikini underneath. I was like, oh, okay. That is by, oh yeah, Alexander McQueen. I was like, yeah, that's actually, it's sold since yesterday, since I looked for $279.99. That's actually.

cheaper than I thought it would be for that designer. I found similar on Amazon, but it's not the same. It's not as sheer. Her, Chelsea's shoes were adorable. They were mules. were stiletto heel with a bow, maybe rhinestone embellishment over the toes. They were very cute. I'm sure they're super uncomfortable. You can find a lookalike.

for $21, for $9. I think no matter what price you pay, they're gonna hurt your feet. I don't think that matters. Because sometimes when I see really cheap shoes with heels, I'm like, oh God, they're gonna kill me. But I bet even the expensive ones would. Yeah, the actual real original ones are Giuseppe Zanotti, something like that. $479 down from $1,195, $1,195. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (23:46.388)
Guiseppe Zanotti

to Guiseppe Zanotti I forgot, you worked at Shoes, right?

I used to work in fashion, yes. But I don't admit that to too many people.

It's okay. You can, you can, this is a safe space for you. Okay. so Chloe's dress. Okay. I got very pumped up about this and I think I pumped up the White Lotus fan page on Facebook. There was so much interaction. I posted the picture of this dress because I saw it the day before. I did not love her dress. I would not wear her dress, but I thought it was interesting because when I put it through the Google lens, it came up as

No, actually, when I put it through the Amazon lens on the Amazon app, all these ring master costumes came up. was like, does look like a ring. That's what I texted you. was like, it looks like a ring master. What does that mean? What's the symbolism of this? So I like put that on the Facebook page and I really thought there was going to be more plotting with her because she tried. She tried to wrangle Saxon somehow, but it didn't work.

Speaker 1 (24:55.758)
Um, that dress is, cause it's a cool, it's always like a, a cool story behind these outfits that are like vintage and possibly the only one left. Gianni Versace, 1993, black mini dress. They said $1,775. And there's some similar stuff. They're all like costumes for cosplay. Is that how you say it? Cosplay, cosplay. They're all like.

touted as costumes, so I that was kind of funny. Her shoes with that dress. I would never put the two together, but they are very cool. They, I don't know if you noticed them, Jason, but her shoes were slip-ons. They had a big cover over the toes, I guess, like, yeah, the front part. And it was like an emerald green, but then pink underneath. JW Anderson.

Chain Link Heel, $310 on Poshmark. But I don't think you can get them new. Like they're also like sold out. They were very, very funky. Again, I would not have put that with the, put those with the dress, but they were very cool shoes. All right. I think, I think that's it for me.

So, do you want to talk about next? Do you want to go into conspiracy theories and predictions and things like that?

Sure, do, at first, for who's the shooter, I was like, I have no idea, but now I do have a feeling, but a lot of people do, that it's something to do with Gaitok, trying to get the Russians and trying to redeem himself and impress Mook which to me makes the most sense, but with this show, you never know.

Speaker 2 (26:45.814)
Yeah, I do feel like there's going to be some sort of a confrontation between them. And I feel like Gaitok is either going to get shot and killed because he's too good for this show. And, cause he's like one of the only honorable people. Like he's a pacifist. He's a sweetheart. I feel like he's either going to die or he's going to be forced to shoot and kill somebody else.

which is against his principle and he'll have to live with the aftermath of that. Even though it'll be in self-defense, you know, but I feel like they might push him to that point. Everybody else is up for grabs though. Because, you know, cause I don't, and I don't, I don't know like why this would be, I don't know whatever, cause I have a feeling now it's a shootout.

Yes, no, I think you're right. That's definitely.

Why would the shootout take place so close to the White Lotus? It's very sketchy. I'm just glad, given the fantasies that Tim has been having, that Gaitok got that pistol away from him. my God. I mean, we were like saying, he couldn't be like a family annihilator. That's too dark.

Yes. my God.

Speaker 1 (28:11.138)
He keeps dreaming about it. mean, he keeps, yeah, dreaming about it.

Yeah, keeps having these horrible fantasies about killing his wife and children. So again, leave the kids at home. Don't watch this with them. I feel like that amount of bullets is probably going to be, because there's so many shots, it's probably people firing at other people. And maybe somebody gets caught in the crossfire. Maybe somebody gets hit by a stray ricochet or something like that. I just hope it's not any of the people I like.

I don't know if Gary Gregg is going to get his comeuppance. I don't know if because there might be a confrontation between him and Belinda if she doesn't take his offer. And Zion is very well aware of that. yeah, it's interesting. I I do like how they keep you guessing. That's the mark of a good show.

And speaking of, is Jim Rick's father or is that over with? And he's not, because he said, he repeated the name again of his mom. He said, Gloria Hatchet? And he kind of, to me, there was a little like recognition there.

He definitely recognized the name and there was an awareness there. But there didn't seem to be any remorse or anything like that. It didn't seem like he was sorry about anything. But they ended the scene so quick that he didn't get a chance to explain anything.

Speaker 1 (29:45.782)
No, I know, he didn't let him say it. That annoyed me too.

That was a little frustrating how they...

And then Rick's going back to the resort that he owns? Like... Duh? I don't know!

It's like, dude, your girlfriend is still at the hotel, you know, or, is he betting because of what happened years ago that Scott Glenn is not going to tell anybody what happened. And he's just going to make it like, I fell kind of, you know I mean? Like, is he, is he not going to say anything because he did do something wrong or because he doesn't want whatever truth between him and Rick to come out.

Right? Yeah, that's

Speaker 2 (30:29.422)
True. You know, so I think maybe that's what I'm also just like, dear God, what trouble are, are, Rick and Frank going to get into Bangkok? If you've ever had one of those friends, you know, if you've ever had one of those friends and you're like, you know, that's like when you take the subway home and the sun's coming up, you've had those nights.

It's like...

Speaker 2 (30:57.976)
But you don't have them at 50. You know, like that's dangerous. Like what these guys are doing. Like you don't get like a bunch of like Thai girls and or lady boys and a bunch of cocaine and alcohol in hotel room. you know, that's, which I'm sure plenty of people, I mean, I'm sure that's like the national pastime in Thailand. don't know, but you know, not for me. can we have a, cannot relate section.

I can't relate.

That's what I cannot relate to this. I'm not doing that.

Okay, so we go to, I wanted to talk about conspiracy theories that were proven right, that I did see all over the internet a bit, was Greg Gary offering Belinda hush money saying Tanya wanted her to have it. And I actually was like, no, but I think the way I was reading it made it was like making him sound like he was like a good guy being like, Tanya.

And I'm like, that's not gonna happen. Also that Valentin's friends were the robbers.

Speaker 2 (32:08.608)
Yeah, I feel like that was a little telegraphed. Also, they're in an Asian country and these, like, obviously white guys come and rob this place. Yeah. You know, so.

And Valentin talking to Gaitok

I that just felt like such a setup to me. yeah. But now what's going to happen? Like, what is he going to do? Is he going to call his boss? Is he going to call the cops? Because what he should do is be like, hey, I found the guys who ripped off the jewelry and threatened me. And that's armed robbery. That's a big, I mean, here it is anyway, is a big offense. So he should definitely call the authorities and get on that. But he doesn't do anything.

Also, when the memory came back of the bald guy, he looked, he wasn't trying to hide himself, the bald guy. He had the mask on, but he could see him perfectly clearly. I was like, what? Yeah, so also there's no cameras right there. Like there was a camera outside of that gate house when he sees Tim Ratliff. So there were no cameras where Gaitok got.

Punched or whatever? Got hit in head? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:25.838)
I mean, they may have had it on camera. don't know if they got that guy on camera. I also don't think the angle that we saw this time around in Gaitok's flashback was the one that we got when it happened in episode two or whatever. So he saw things that we didn't. Because if we had, it would have been too obvious. Oh yeah, the tall, pale, bald guy that looks exactly like the Russian friend with the little mask on. Maybe that's him.

No, we didn't.

Speaker 2 (33:55.214)
You know, like we could, we're to put that one together. But yeah, I just saw it happen. I just kind of saw it coming. And then we got an extra confirmation when Laurie sees the jewels.

that are still sitting there for how long now? for- Why would-

Just half a

These guys are not the sharpest tools in the shed man. No, but yeah, okay So, yeah that was that was a proven right theory. Did you have any other things that were confirmed?

So gross.

Speaker 1 (34:25.944)
I had a proven wrong. I think I said this earlier too, like that Greg Gary was gonna kill someone at the park. Like I saw, they're gonna get, Saxon and Belinda are gonna get poisoned by that poisonous fruit. That was, I'm like, I don't think he's kill, I know, is that poisonous fruit gonna come around again? Like.

We did see a preview, if you watch long enough, there's a preview on HBO Max, or Max Now, where they did show Tim asking about the fruit that was checked off, buried or whatever, that's the loaded fruit in Act 1 that's gonna go off in Act 2. he might, I mean, he knows now that the gun is not there. So if he's...

if he's gonna try to carry out his fantasy, his murderous plan, I think he might try to get everybody to eat this fruit. they did show, they showed him. Yeah, they showed him with the blender, or they showed the blender, so I think he's gonna put that into a smoothie and try to, my God, that's awful. Get it like, geez. Don't Jim Jones your family, man, that's awful.

these.

Speaker 1 (35:33.932)
Just hit you.

Speaker 1 (35:39.222)
I had seen a few episodes ago that someone's like, this blender, there's something with this blender, they keep showing this blender, there's something that's gonna come up with the blender, so.

We got Chekhov's fruit and Chekhov's blender happening. Yeah, I mean, the only thing that really makes sense is a shootout between maybe Gaitok and the Russian mafia guys. But other than that, like who else has cause to shoot anybody? The one guy who was fantasizing about shooting people doesn't have a gun anymore.

So that's not going to be a thing.

Why doesn't he just OD? You have to hurt everybody. Well, they can't live like that. They can't live like that.

Well, I thought it was.

Speaker 2 (36:22.348)
He's trying to save his family. Yeah. You know, and I mean, the whole thing is just like, mean, I guess it's like a satire about American values or capitalism and, know, the horror, the horrors of that. But yeah, I mean, not, not great.

Don't let your life be reduced to that. I'm also wondering if at some point, Ki Hai Kwan was the voice of his friend who got him into this mess. I wonder if he's going to come back. I wonder if Scott Glenn and Sritala are going to confront Rick at some point, or maybe those are going to be like, you know, hey, guess what? You know, your mother and I had an affair and you you may be the result or, you know, that kind of thing.

Right.

Speaker 2 (37:14.126)
