Jacqueline Hanzl (00:08)
Hi, this is Jackie.

Diana (00:09)
Hi, this is Diana.

Jacqueline Hanzl (00:11)
And this is HomeBodiesOnly, where we welcome all bodies to join us as we break down and dissect HBO Max series. And this episode, we are talking about The Sex Lives of College Girls, still, season three, episode eight, The Good Partner Test

Diana (00:22)
I'm still doing it guys.

Jacqueline Hanzl (00:29)
This might be a quickie we were saying because there wasn't a lot of fashion because they wore the same outfits the entire episode. So that's part of it. Okay.

Diana (00:28)
Hmm.

Jacqueline Hanzl (00:40)
Here is my summary from TuneFind.Com. As things become more serious with Cooper, Kacey decides to secretly put him through the good partner test. Intrigued, Bela, Whitney, and Kimberly decide to test the people they're dating too. Okay, let's go to loves. I loved when Arvind brought the movies that they're wrapped with a red ribbon. They were DVDs, right? Weren't they DVDs also, which I thought was cute? I know, that would have been.

Diana (00:57)
Mmm.

I was hoping they would be VHSs, but.

Jacqueline Hanzl (01:10)
That would have been even better. At first, I did not like this test. I was like, this is stupid. Like this whole scenario, but then I did, then I loved it. It was great. Yeah, it was good. And it was kind of cool that the whole, pretty much the whole episode was all just in their suite. It was kind of cool. ⁓ I love Brian and Kimberly. I love Canaan and Whitney. I love at the end when Canaan says the clean room that she sends him was the sexiest thing he ever sent her.

Diana (01:15)
Mmm.

It was comical. It was great. Yeah.

Yes.

I couldn't agree more. Duh. Man, it's like when you get the picture ⁓ when somebody washes the dishes and they send you the clean sink. ⁓ yes.

Jacqueline Hanzl (01:40)
And I thought you would be like, yes, I can relate. ⁓

That's never happened to me. That actually happens to you.

Diana (01:56)
Is that not a thing? Matt will definitely send me a picture of like, you know.

Jacqueline Hanzl (02:00)
it fell off. my God.

Cause he knows what you like!

⁓ my god!

Diana (02:10)
With the dishes all done. Like the sink is gone so. He's like the dishwasher's empty and I did the dishes. ⁓

Jacqueline Hanzl (02:13)
He's like, hey, can I, he's like the dishwasher's end. Mm-hmm.

That's your, ⁓ I'm not gonna use the word I was gonna use. ⁓ That's his.

Diana (02:30)
What's like

the, what do they say? your, you know, like what your love language is? Yes, totally. Chores.

Jacqueline Hanzl (02:37)
Yes, that's it. That's better than what I was going to say. I wasn't going say something that

bad, but I was going to say something a little bit dirty. love language. Yeah. I mean, that would work. That would actually work for me too, but that apparently somebody doesn't know. I guess. I don't know. Okay. What are your loves?

Diana (02:43)
Chores, chores, chores.

⁓ My love was, listen, I was digging the good partner test. I think it was really funny. I loved, Cooper's test, especially when the coasters were not available because I feel like that was a true test. yeah. And then when they left out all the things, like that was hysterical. ⁓ I loved Brian's test. He was really funny and such a good, ⁓

Jacqueline Hanzl (03:02)
Mm-hmm.

Yes. when he was like sweating. ⁓ that was great. Yeah. No, I liked that.

Yes.

Test taker?

Diana (03:27)
Yeah, he was a great test taker, obviously. It was really funny watching him

and Kimberly and stuff. And then Canaan back in the picture. I was loving that. Love me some Canaan. So those were my loves.

Jacqueline Hanzl (03:34)
I love it. I love it. Yeah.

Okay. Okay. Hate. I hated that Arvind got freaked out by Bela's experience. That really bugged me. I don't know. He clearly didn't know her very well. mean, okay. Kacey telling Cooper she's ready only possibly because she's worried about him cheating. That I did not like.

Diana (03:46)
Mmm. Mmm.

Mm.

Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (04:04)
And I said, there was no Lila WTF in this episode. I mean, she could, just an additional, like Peanut Gallery. my God. They could have written her in so easily.

Diana (04:09)
Yeah, where was she? Come on. She would have been great to be right sitting there in a beanbag somewhere. Yeah, totally.

I hated Cooper trying to peel the oranges. That was like nails on a chalkboard. I wanted to scream. Again, Kacey's sparkling tumbler. Like, can we not have that anymore? It's just, I'm just not, I can't, I just can't. The coach's text, gross. We need you. Like, like they whatever.

Jacqueline Hanzl (04:26)
God, yeah. Yes.

yeah, that was there. I think I ignored it.

Diana (04:45)
It's just rubbiting in more. ⁓ And then everyone walking out in plaid except Kimberly. That really bothered me. Like why? Was that intentional? I didn't like that. So that's it.

Jacqueline Hanzl (04:50)
Yeah, you told me that and that was weird. I don't know what was happening. Yeah.

I it. I can relate, right? So this also ties in with fashion. Kacey's Tweed White Bomber Jacket. It's not the same brand apparently, because I looked it up, but I have that jacket. I could bust it out. It's the same jacket. I can. I'm right next to my closet, so I can. But have to wear my robe.

Diana (05:01)
Mm-hmm.

Right.

Yeah. Why didn't you? Yeah. Should have wore it.

That was all you had? Because y'all have the same jacket. Where'd you get it from? Where's yours from? Marshalls. Good vibe. Or Good Find, not Good Vibe.

Jacqueline Hanzl (05:23)
Yeah, I couldn't really relate to anything else. Marshall's. Yeah, Marshall's. Yep. I have written down the brand and everything.

And I got it. Well, I'll go into it with fashion, okay?

Diana (05:37)
yeah,

okay. I can relate peeling oranges. I would rather have somebody peel it for me as well. I think it's a great test. I actually have a very handy dandy orange peeler from, I think it's Tupperware. I should have brought it with me. was going to. It's like a plastic thing and it kind of like carves out like the thing without being a knife so the kids can use it. I know my son uses it every night when he has his little clementines. like, even those are easy to peel. What?

Jacqueline Hanzl (05:42)
Mm.

⁓ it's plastic.

Wow.

Mm-hmm.

Well, I just realized I can

relate because it hasn't happened a lot this year, but there's been years in the past where kids always have a clementine for their snack. And I see a lot of kids during snack and I always am peeling their clementines for them. no, I hate it. I hate the feeling, everything. And also that my fingers were on it. Like I try not to touch the orange itself. And I always tell the kids, like, I'm doing it so that you don't. And I'm like, no. So I can relate to being asked.

Diana (06:11)
Yeah.

But you get like the oranges in it and it's like, it's gross. Yeah.

Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (06:32)
to freaking...

Diana (06:33)
I might have to get

through one of these peelers because then it would be, you don't have to like really touch it really. ⁓ it's going to start happening because we're talking about it. Everybody's going to be getting the question. Needing a shower after Whitney's clutter episode. I think, yeah, I would need a shower too.

Jacqueline Hanzl (06:36)
It hasn't.

I know. Well, it hasn't happened this year. I don't think at all. Usually a lot of school years. of course, of course. Even though it's not, I mean, it's not even the season for those, but it'll happen. It'll happen.

god yeah. Yeah.

She doesn't, that was all just done. Yeah, right. No, I'm just like, cause I was like, she's not a messy person, right? Okay. Yeah.

Diana (07:00)
I know. No, she's not. She did that on purpose.

So those were mine.

Jacqueline Hanzl (07:08)
Okay.

Fashion. Okay. I did put Kacey's tweed jacket because it's creme or white. I think they were calling it white. Mine is definitely a cream color. Bomber jacket. Because I do like it because I still own it and I do love it. It's by Mango according to shopyourtv.com said, sorry, shopyourtv.com said it was sold out on Macy's.

Diana (07:22)
Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (07:36)
but I found it on a website called victoriajacket.com. It's $109. And I said, I swear I have the exact same one in cream. I got it from Marshall's in December of 2023. So like a year and a half ago. I don't remember how much, but it definitely wasn't 109. It's by Jason Wu. I did find that one, I think on Poshmark, which is crazy.

Diana (07:40)
Mm-hmm.

There you go.

Okay.

Jacqueline Hanzl (08:05)
in extra small for $70. Again, I did not pay that much because I bought it from Marshall's. Should I pull it out? I know where it is. Hold on.

Diana (08:09)
Is that the? Yeah. Yeah. Are we talking about the same coat?

Literally. I feel like I should have had a commercial break here or something. Maybe like an ad or something.

Jacqueline Hanzl (08:26)
I've only worn it, I think

I've worn it once to school. I mean, it's...

Diana (08:31)
yeah.

it's super cute. You should wear that. It'd be cute with like.

Jacqueline Hanzl (08:35)
her buttons were showing,

my buttons are not showing. I bought it, I wore it on our, I'm sure that the people listening are very enthralled in the story, but I wore it on our last conference day, which I don't think I saw you. And I actually wore it with black yoga pants, like flared yoga pants and just like a white shirt underneath and sneakers. But when I first bought it, I was like, this is dressy. I'm not gonna wear it to work, it's dressy. And now I'm like, no, I wanna wear it.

Diana (08:38)
You should wear that with like a little t-shirt and jeans. That'd be cute.

⁓ okay. Now.

Mm-hmm.

Nice, super cute.

You can dress it down a

little bit.

Jacqueline Hanzl (09:05)
It's really

more wintery than, you know, spring summer. But okay, her jacket. ⁓ I found a similar one on Amazon. It's not tweed though. It's like a cotton smooth, just the same shape and it's like white. ⁓ The last scene of Whitney when she gets that text from Canaan, I didn't notice it the first time around. I noticed it the second time around. It is an all white.

Diana (09:18)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Jacqueline Hanzl (09:32)
in caps. All white sweater outfit. Yes, yes, yes. That is like my favorite thing. It was,

Diana (09:34)
yeah.

It was like a cable net.

Jacqueline Hanzl (09:40)
It was cable knit, was a turtleneck and then the pants matched. I believe it, she had on pants. So I could not find this on any of my go-to's. Is it not letting me go? Oh, here we go. So I Google lensed it and of course something came, oh, yeah, it looks exactly like it. It's called the Brunette, Brunette the Label, $249 for this dang set.

Diana (09:43)
Yeah.

Yeah, I've seen like,

you know, other ones, you know, like the less expensive ones, but they, to me, the only thing with like wearing an all sweater had, I always had a problem with like the clinginess of like the pants or like, just can't, like it doesn't feel right on me. It's like.

Jacqueline Hanzl (10:20)
Sorry, laughing. Because

you have problems with material clinging. Remember you said silk pajamas? You're like,

Diana (10:30)
Yes.

I can't, like, I can't. Like, the, like, it just makes me think, like, it would be a lot of static and I would just, like, zap everything. Right? So, like, I just...

Jacqueline Hanzl (10:34)
You must be full of static. see, I feel like it would feel so good. I feel like it

would feel so good to me, but...

Diana (10:43)
walk around in a cable knit head to toe and see. I don't know. have I have like matching sets that are like scuba material or I don't know like that's material is or you know what I mean or like cottony like or I don't even know you know like sweatsuits and stuff like that but when it comes to a sweater like that that like a chunky sweater but then as a pant I'm like ⁓ that that seems like it would stick to my leg or like I'd have

Jacqueline Hanzl (10:47)
I do have.

Well, yes. Yes.

See, or I might rub

you weird, but I wear compression stockings that go up to my, almost up to my, you know what? Yes, you do. Static guard, or is it something? Yeah.

Diana (11:15)
I would need a can of this. I mean, this is my life every day.

But I could just see like a lot of static guard. Right.

Jacqueline Hanzl (11:24)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. But I like, I wear these, I wear the compression stockings

up to my, almost up to all the way. And so then it would be a block to that probably feeling. Although I don't know if that'd be good for it, but I did find similar. Yeah. ⁓ so I did find similar, but it had a skirt.

Diana (11:33)
Yeah.

Hmm. Okay. A neutral charge.

OK. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sort of.

Jacqueline Hanzl (11:50)
See, it wasn't, and it wasn't a turtleneck. I can't really see it, but

I'll, I'll, I'll link it. I'll put the picture in there. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Diana (11:56)
I had like a sweater dress like that before. And it was like

a really long cable knit sweater dress and it had like a little belt and it was really cute but like, ⁓

Jacqueline Hanzl (12:07)
But see, that's not like cozy wear. Like to me, she had that on. was like, it just reminds

like just snuggling at home. I don't know. That would be my. Okay.

Diana (12:16)
Totally.

⁓ Whitney's, ⁓ did you, did you still have Mark? ⁓ the Whitney's black coat in the dining hall, was like fuzzy or something, it was another bomber jacket with the green, she had like the green polo shirt or something? Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (12:19)
I think, yeah, I was gonna say you. No, you go, because this is your stuff next that I looked for.

Okay, so when she walked out,

oh shoot, because I thought you liked her plaid jacket. I thought you said you liked her plaid. Shoot, I didn't look that one up.

Diana (12:38)
I really like the black one and it had like the white, didn't it have like white,

black and white cuffs on it? You know what I'm talking about? And she wore it in the dining hall. Okay, well, I really liked it. And then I wrote her sneakers and now I can't remember what color they were.

Jacqueline Hanzl (12:46)
Yes, but I didn't look that one up, but I can find it. Yeah. I looked it up. It was Bela's

Sneakers. Bela's Sneakers, you told me, not Whitney's. You said Bela's. Okay. Bela's Sneakers are New Balance. They are called 480 Aqua. ⁓ I found, they were like sold out. ⁓ I found them on Amazon in kids sizes because you know, like a five and a kids is a seven. ⁓ Why isn't this thing?

Diana (12:56)
Yeah, not Whitney's fellas. Yes.

Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (13:16)
This is so annoying. Yes, it was a very cool color. So there are not many sizes available, but they're like around on Google. Like if you look for them on Google, of course I can't click the link for some reason. Now I have to look up that jacket of Whitney's, because I looked up the wrong jacket. I looked up Whitney's plaid coat that she was wearing when she walked out.

Diana (13:16)
Yet the colors are really cute.

Okay.

Gotcha, yes, and I did, I was digging the plaid, like I said, it was really like, thinking if that was my favorite one too, maybe that she was the one wearing, yeah, walking out. Yeah, because they were all in sort of a different plaid and then.

Jacqueline Hanzl (13:50)
her jacket. the plaid. Yeah.

Well, I found that one. It was in Ebony and it was sold out. It's by AllSaints. ⁓ Similar. ⁓ I found one similar, but not as long on Amazon. You know, the long, the length actually I thought looked really good. So it kind of took away from it, but I did find that brand AllSaints really nice plaid jackets, like plaid coats like that, different patterns. I thought it looked, they looked really nice, but they were not cheap on eBay.

Diana (14:07)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (14:26)
On eBay,

found that brand. Do you know that brand? Because I don't know that brand. I don't know that brand.

Diana (14:29)
yeah, yeah. yeah, yeah.

Yeah, they make a lot of really pretty handbags, I think too. I had an AllSaints scarf, but it was really itchy. It was a gift from somebody, but it was very, yeah, I'm a texturevert. Yeah, like it was, I don't know if it was wool or something, I don't know, like, but.

Jacqueline Hanzl (14:41)
Of course, did it stick to you?

Ooh,

well, I don't do well with the neck. I'm very sensitive on my neck, especially.

Diana (14:50)
Yeah, like I was breaking out in a rash.

like, really can't. I know this is a brand, but like I'm all set. I'll go back to my Target sweater scarf thing. But that's all I had for fashion.

Jacqueline Hanzl (14:55)
No, no, no. All right, I got to find Whitney's.

Yeah, because like we said, they basically wore, I mean, like they were reaching on Shop Your TV. They like showed Bela's bra. I was like, okay, come on. Let me look for that jacket.

Diana (15:04)
Mm-hmm.

jeez. No, thanks.

Jacqueline Hanzl (15:16)
⁓ here it is. Yep, it's a bomber jacket. I did notice it. I don't like it worn over that polo shirt though. I don't know, it took away from it. It's by Mango. It's the same brand as Kacey's. It's sold out, of course, by Mango, but I bet it's sold out on Macy's. But then when you, no, it went to Mango actually, and it's sold out on Mango. Of course it is because it's like wintry. ⁓ I'm gonna Google lens it.

Diana (15:20)
Mm-hmm.

Mm hmm. Well, I didn't like the polo shirt like and I know that, know, but ⁓ There you go, mango. Mm hmm. Cute.

Right.

Jacqueline Hanzl (15:45)
I'll try to find some similar and I link those in the description. ⁓ background check. got, I got nothing.

Diana (15:45)
Yeah. There you go.

didn't expect that my phone to ring. The record player for background check. Did you catch when Arvind was coming in that he, yeah, it was like, was that a record player with flowers on it? looked like it was a record player. I don't know. I was like, that's cool in the background. I'm digging that. Yeah. That was it.

Jacqueline Hanzl (15:58)
Okay. Background check.

with the movies.

Oh, I know what you're talking about. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is that it? Is that all I

got? I know there was like.

Diana (16:25)
There

was not much. I was like, I was looking on the shelf. I'm like, what's in the, then they kept being on the couch and there was like a cactus neon thing. was like, whatever. But I was waiting for like misplacements. Nothing.

Jacqueline Hanzl (16:33)
⁓ you know what was?

Yes, no.

You know what I thought was like a mistake with them, but I realized my mistake. So when they would talk about the guy, it was daytime. And then when they were doing it, it was nighttime. So I was like, wait a minute, they messed that up. Well, basically I figured it out. Yeah, they went from like the dining hall, talked all about what they were gonna do, and then it was nighttime. But it really took me a while.

Diana (16:52)
Mm-hmm. ⁓ yeah. I wrote that down right here. I was like, yes, but it was Yeah

Yeah.

Jacqueline Hanzl (17:06)
why is it daytime? And then I was like, it's with every guy. Like I noticed it, I think with one and I was like, oh, I that was a mistake. Yep.

Diana (17:09)
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, because then I scribbled it out. was like,

caught. said it was daytime and all of sudden it was night. And so I scribbled it out under background. So. ⁓ man.

Jacqueline Hanzl (17:18)
Yeah. Yeah, same thing.

So predictions. ⁓

Diana (17:27)
something's gonna go on with Bela, right?

Jacqueline Hanzl (17:30)
Well, they're broken up, I think. My feeling from that conversation is it's done. He can't handle that, so. I don't know.

Diana (17:33)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah, she's going to have some realization

to, I don't know.

Jacqueline Hanzl (17:45)
No, because like she came in last year I'm sex positive. She, you know, I don't think she's feels bad about it and nor should she and he obviously.

Diana (17:45)
Maybe not.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's just not something that he's interested in. So I don't know, maybe there'll be something there. Who knows? She'll get over it. I think Whitney's going to probably end up in like a knee brace or cast or something. That's coming soon. yeah. It's going to be out by ambulance.

Jacqueline Hanzl (17:58)
not him. Yeah.

I know, I think it's done. Yeah, you could tell she was like.

Yeah, I have Whitney in soccer, not looking good.

Yeah, she also missed that practice.

Diana (18:19)
you know, like career

ending injury or something. just, I'm calling it now. So, and then Kacey's gonna lose it.

Jacqueline Hanzl (18:23)
Yeah.

Yeah, that's kind of all I got. Yeah,

we'll see.

Diana (18:34)
Maybe, I don't know. That's my prediction.

Jacqueline Hanzl (18:35)
Maybe, but

hopefully I do think she chose to because she was worried about him cheating because the ex-boyfriend said, I couldn't wait or whatever. I hope though, eventually if it does happen that it's not for that. ⁓ Yeah, I don't know, two more to go. We'll be done by December. No, I'm just kidding.

Diana (18:41)
Yeah, yeah, right. Because of what she found. Mm hmm. Mm hmm.

Yeah. Right.

See two more episodes to go. We got this. We're going to finish. We'll finish. Yeah. Yeah. With

our schedules. ⁓

Jacqueline Hanzl (19:04)
Yes. All right. ⁓

Spotify is weird though. I don't know. I haven't, I've never rated a podcast on Spotify actually. I don't think I've looked at anything. So to me it's weird, but.

Diana (19:30)
Mm.

Jacqueline Hanzl (19:34)
Yeah. And, ⁓ yes. All right, everybody. All right. Bye.

Diana (19:37)
homework. Thanks for listening. Bye.
